Project update! ONE has partnered with @virginiadeq and @westrockcompany to collect over 550 dissolved oxygen (DO) data points along the Jackson River in Virginia. We will continue to collect data throughout 2020 in order to determine if the development of a Total Maximum Daily Load study is required, or if the segment can be removed from the EPA’s Impaired Waters List.

Air sampling in North Carolina this week. We set out indoor air canisters in commercial buildings to monitor for indoor air contaminants. They will collect over an 8-hour period before we retrieve them and ship them to the laboratory. We will have them analyzed for volatile organic compounds via the TO-15 analytical method.
