When Brock Showers joined ONE Environmental Group, he was ready for a change and excited for a challenge. After several years focused on landfill monitoring and reporting, Brock sought broader opportunities to grow his environmental expertise, and ONE’s collaborative, multidisciplinary approach was a perfect fit.

Based out of ONE’s Midlothian office and living in Richmond’s historic Church Hill neighborhood, Brock serves as an Environmental Consultant, specializing in SPCC and SWPPP audits and inspections. He’s also HAZWOPER 40 certified and currently pursuing his Erosion and Sediment Control Inspector certification with the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Before joining ONE, Brock worked with LaBella Associates, where he handled groundwater monitoring, landfill gas reporting, and leachate sampling. While the experience was valuable, Brock knew he wanted to expand his skillset. “At ONE, I get to be part of a team that touches so many different areas,” he says. “There’s always something new to learn, and everyone here is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to help.”

A native of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Brock moved around a bit with his military family. He graduated from the University of Virginia in 2019 after starting his college career at the University of Alabama. He played rugby in college, lacrosse in high school, and even spent time coaching youth lacrosse in Austin, Texas, from 2019 to 2022.

Outside of work, Brock enjoys golfing, hiking, and playing pickleball. You might spot him and his girlfriend exploring the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts or browsing a local farmer’s market on the weekend. He’s also a proud cat dad to two cats and has a twin brother who’s soon relocating to Mexico.

With his curiosity, team spirit, and eagerness to grow, Brock is a great addition to the ONE family, and we’re excited to see where his journey leads next.
