Environmental Consultant

Eli Pfadt didn’t set out to work in environmental consulting, but we’re glad the path led him to ONE Environmental Group.

Based in ONE’s Midlothian, Virginia, office and living in downtown Richmond, Eli joined the firm in June 2025 as an Environmental Consultant. He brings a background in safety and a fresh enthusiasm for environmental work that’s quickly made him a valuable member of the team.

Originally from Erie, Pennsylvania, Eli graduated from Slippery Rock University with a degree in safety. Before joining ONE, he worked at a firm serving as a general contractor for Dominion Energy. While he enjoyed his previous role, Eli was ready for a change, and when the opportunity at ONE arose, he jumped in. “The vibe here is special. I’d gotten to know some people at ONE already, and I really liked what I saw.”

At ONE, Eli helps clients stay in compliance with environmental regulations while contributing to projects that make a real-world impact. His certifications include HAZWOPER, as well as erosion and sediment control and stormwater licenses from the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ). He also holds Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) certification.

What stands out most to Eli about ONE? The culture. “I like how supportive everyone is,” he says. “People here are really friendly, always willing to help, and it’s just a good atmosphere.”

Outside of work, Eli enjoys exploring his relatively new home base of Richmond. A resident for only a few years, he’s still uncovering all the city has to offer. He also enjoys kayaking, golfing, and spending time with his dog and cat.

Whether he’s in the field supporting clients or on the river taking in the views, Eli brings a calm and steady approach to everything he does, and ONE is glad to have him on the team.
