Trent Cheyney
Environmental Consultant
Looking to return to his home state of Virgina, Trent Cheyney joined the ONE Environmental team in Midlothian, Virginia after starting his career in Greenville, South Carolina. A Salem, Virginia native, Trent graduated from Bridgewater College in 2022.
Trent comes to ONE from Bunnell Lammons Engineering where he served as Environmental Consultant performing a range of activities in the field. He has developed significant experience conducting Phase 1 and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Lead Surveys, Asbestos Surveys, and more for large industrial clients across the southeast. He is also experienced helping mining and other clients meet their environmental compliance objectives, supporting Erosion and Sediment Control (ESC) inspection and maintenance and other requirements.

Trent holds an Asbestos Inspector License, is a certified ESC Inspector and has completed HAZWOPER 40 Hour training. He has also earned certification from the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) and is authorized to use Portable Nuclear Density Gauges.
“ONE Environmental has been a great fit for me professionally, as I’ve always been attracted to smaller group settings for learning and participating,” said Trent. “The ONE team is super helpful and morale is great.”
Trent now lives in Richmond with two college roommates and his black cat that fancies itself a dog. An avid lacrosse player in high school and college, Trent aims to help coach the sport at a local high school as he did previously in South Carolina. He also enjoys fly fishing, hiking and dabbling in golf.
