Risk-Based Approach to RCRA Corrective Action Projects in Virginia
ONE has demonstrated strength and expertise in Risk Assessments and the RCRA Corrective Action Program. We are currently working with Project Teams on 5 Corrective Action projects in Virginia. Through VDEQ's risk-based initiatives, ONE is assisting our customers negotiate a clear path toward regulatory closure.
RCRA Corrective Action in Ohio
ONE is actively working with a team of consultants on a RCRA Corrective Action site located in Ohio.
Integrated Plan Development for RCRA, SPCC, ODCP, VPDES, and USEPA and USCG FRP Programs
ONE is working closely with our industrial customers to navigate the complicated world of regulatory compliance. Our engineers are currently developing both individual and integrated plans with respect to RCRA, SPCC, ODCP, NPDES, USEPA and USCG FRP Programs. Through these efforts, ONE has been able to identify cost savings opportunities in facility inspection and testing through development of stream-lined programs.
VPDES Permit Renewal & River Study
ONE was awarded contract to perform a temperature study of a river for purposes of VPDES permit renewal.
Due Dilligence in Accordance with ASTM Standards
E1527-05 and E1528-06
ONE has successfully performed due dilligence services for large portfolios of properties and successfully met the client's strict deadlines.
Corrective Action for LUST Site in Virginia
ONE was awarded contract to perform corrective action activities under the Virginia UST Program.
Targeted Brownfield Assessment
ONE was awarded the asssement contract for a community in south central Virginia.
Risk Assessment and Remedial Action Work Plan
ONE has successfully completed a site characterization, risk assessment, and remedial action work plan for a site managed under the Virginia VRP.

Richmond BizSense Interviewed Catherine Warner
VCU piloted a Sustainability Class last year, and Catherine Warner, principal of environmental consulting firm One Environmental Group, studied waste management last year. Warner said she came up with a waste management project for the class to apply in her business.
“I have been working with a client in the food and beverage industry on composting,” Warner said. “I’m taking waste [from the company] and sending it to a composting facility instead of a landfill.”

NC EEHS Exhibition sponsored by MCIC
ONE Environmental Group sponsored a booth at the NC Environmental, Energy, Health and Safety School in Raleigh, NC. The Exhibition was sponsored by the Manufacturers and Chemical Industry Council of NC. The EEHS School offered classroom sessions in air quality, water quality, hazardous waste, occupational safety & health, and energy & sustainability. ONE Environmental networked with school attendees and other environmental, health & safety professionals.

Energy Conservation Fair at the Williamsburg Brewery
ONE presented at the Anheuser Busch Williamsburg
Brewery annual Energy Conservation Fair on June 3rd. The goal of this fair was to increase awareness among AB employees and the public about the great ways we all protect the environment. ONE presented sustainable solutions offered by the firm including Brownfields, Waste Minimization, Environmental Footprint Assessments, and Green Remediation just to name a few. Thank you to Marissa Botta for hosting a fantastic event!

Brownfields Presentation at the VHDA Workshop
ONE presented at the VHDA Workshop on May 5th in Glen Allen, VA. The workshop was well attended by developers and bankers to learn about financing oppportunities for construction projects. ONE discussed opportunities for developers and local governments to work together to pursue grants through the Federal and State Brownfields programs. The workshop was a great success and thank you to Costa Canavos for hosting this event.

ONE Facilitated Closure of IHSB Incident:
ONE completed an investigation, groundwater monitoring, and closure request report which included a risk evaluation to the Inactive Hazardous Sites Branch (IHSB) for a site within the North Carolina State Agency. Closure of the IHSB Incident was granted in January of 2011.
